Test Generators - State of Technology
Maybe an overview of testgenerators is interesting to you. A quite complete list can be found in the summary of Zoltán Micskei about Code-based test generation. Most of the listed projects are mainly of academic value - fine for example code, yet not fit for practice.
If you are interested in usable test generators for java, you should consider:
- randoop (random code)
- evosuite (search based)
- testrecorder (capture-replay)
Another academic approach has only prototypical implementations:
- SymbolicPathFinder (symbolic execution)
